What are your weekend plans? We are back home! It's so nice to be back. We are having a little birthday party for Max on Friday with cake and great friends in the park. I am finally going to bake again, with being gone and super busy before that I haven't baked in so long and really miss it. Other than that we are just hoping to have a relaxing weekend.

Makeup Inspo: Audrey Hepburn

On our flight back from Belarus, the film options included a few Audrey Hepburn films. So obviously I spent the entire flight watching "A Roman Holiday" and "Sabrina". I just love her, and I was really inspired by her cat eye eyeliner in both films. I usually find cat eye eyeliner a bit over the top, but I noticed how it can be really subtle if done right. I love the soft cat eye look on the picture above.

I think I might just try it out this weekend. Don't you just love Audrey Hepburn? How could one not be inspired by her.

Weekend!

What are you doing this weekend? We are celebrating Max's birthday on Friday! It's going to be fun with some more Russian food and family. And on Sunday we fly back home. I must say I am ready to go home, be able to understand everything and finally be part of the conversation. First thing I will do when we get back, hug my mom and have a huge salad with cottage cheese on toast.

Seven Recipes to Try this Holiday Season

Oh how I miss that feeling of the holiday season! Every year since I left Canada this season is the one I miss the most. Holiday decoration, recipes and ideas are everywhere on the web and I want to be part of it all. I always try to bring a little of the holidays to Israel, although they do not celebrate them here. We have plenty of Jewish holidays, but Thanksgiving and Christmas will always hold a special part of my heart. We usually have a small Christmas dinner with friends and we put up a small Christmas tree in our home. One of my favorite part of the holidays is going over to friends and of course all the delicious candy and cookies. So I rounded up seven recipes that would be great to try this holiday season.

Home Inspo: Tree Stump Side Table

Tree stumps as side tables, I'm loving that idea. It brings a little rawness to a room, a hint of rustic. I especially like the idea of adding it to a modern looking room, it brings in something homey. It would be really easy to DIY this, you just need a good looking tree stump. In Israel it might be hard to find one, but from now on I will be on the look out. I would love to add this as either a side table or bunch a few up as a coffee table.

What are you up to this weekend? We are in Belarus, it has been interesting seeing where Max is from. We have been feed so much food I think I will explode soon. If only I could communicate. Have you ever been to a country were you don't understand anything and almost nobody speaks English? It can be quite frustrating but at the same time nice that no one expects you to talk. Bottle Love

Let's talk about bottles, I am in love with them. I love the use of bottles for decor; vintage bottles, painted bottles, bottles as vases and I can go on and on. I especially love the picture above with the vintagey feel. When ever I see cute bottles I want to immediately buy them. When we were planning our wedding I had the excuse that I will use them for the wedding decor, which I did, but now I have to restrain my self or else our little house will be overrun by bottles.

The wonderful weekend is here, which means today marks the first day of our 2 weeks vacation. We are starting off our vacation with a weekend in the northern coast of the Mediterranean celebrating our first anniversary! I am so excited, we are going to a really cute Bed & Breakfast with private wooden cabins which is located in the middle of a banana plantation and is a five minutes walk from the beach! And on Sunday we are flying to Belarus, which will be an exciting adventure! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
